The South Walton area is full of great events and they happen all year long. Some of the best events happen around the holidays and leading up to the holidays. Here are two upcoming events ready for you to enjoy.
Fall Festival - October 25th from 10am to 4pm
The fall festival will provide one of the best events of the season. This event will be held at the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and will give you and the entire family plenty of fun to enjoy. With plenty of food, games for kids, activities for all ages and the haunted tram ride, you can enjoy all type of fun. Some age restrictions do apply to the haunted train ride, but there is certainly something here for everybody.
Waves for Wild Things - November 1st at 5pm
The Waves for Wild Things event will benefit the E.O Wilson Biophilia Center and will provide the community with plenty of fun. Getting the best out of this event isn't hard. This special evening will include a sunset cruise on the SOLARIS yacht, which will depart from the Baytowne Marina in Sandestin at 5pm. The event will include dinner, plenty of great entertainment and more. The proceeds will go to a great cause and will support the student educational programs at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center.
This facility takes up 53,000 acres of land and provides environmentally friendly exhibits, classrooms, a theater and so much more. It has been responsible for teaching over 21,000 students and is the home of a two-time Pulitzer Prize winning Doctor. Programs here are offered in math, engineering, science and technology.
The Waves for Wild Things event will provide you with the opportunity to bit at a silent auction and will include a presentation from the President of the Center, Christy Scally. The cost is $100 per person and it includes the cruise, a chef prepared dinner, entertainment and all the fun. Enjoy this event on the Choctawhatchee Bay and help a good cause on Friday, November 1st.
