Relocating to Destin in Florida means that you'll get to live in a state where large parts of it are still undeveloped and are now protected. With so many other states building wherever there's a flat, open space it's nice to know that you can actually walk or drive a short distance from your home in Destin and see nature as God intended it - wild and untamed. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy a few days of uninterrupted, natural living then Topsail Hill State Preserve should be high on your list.

If you're moving here from a built-up urban city then the idea of being outdoors is probably quite foreign to you but once you see the 1,600 acres of Topsail Hill and how beautiful it is you won't take long to get over any anxiety you might have. In fact Topsail Hill is designed to appeal to visitors of all kinds so there are 22 camping sites, more than 150 RV sites and if you want to experience the great outdoors from the comforts of being indoors then there are 32 cabins for you to choose from too.

Topsail Hill State Preserve also has lots to offer every member of your family from guided hikes to kayaking, picnicking, fishing, cycling, swimming, bird watching and of course miles of beach for you to relax on too. The simple fact that this entire area has remained almost completely undeveloped means that you can enjoy listening to and hopefully seeing some of the wildlife that live in or near the freshwater lakes, sand dunes and pine forests of Topsail Hill State Preserve.

This Preserve is a great example of what living in Florida is all about - you get the advantage of having all the modern amenities you could wish for and then just a short drive away an absolutely massive State Preserve for your entire family to enjoy.
