Destin has already seen five-time Tony Award Nominated Musical "Rock of Ages" come to town and there's quite a bit more on the schedule. With spring in full swing, it's a great time of the year to enjoy some of the great events coming to the area. Here's a list of the major choices for your entertainment pleasure in April.
Presented by "On the Coast Magazine" from 12pm to 4pm on April 6th and 7th, this weekend event provides fun for the whole family. It will happen at HarborWalk Village and will include kid-friendly entertainment, arts & crafts, face painting, sidewalk murals, local artist demonstrations, kite making and much more. The Emerald Coast Irish Dancers Ballet will perform, along with other entertainment choices.
Golf & Dine
This is the annual networking golf tournament put on by the Chamber of Commerce. IT will be held on April 17th with a shotgun start at 1pm. Enjoy a round of golf at the Indian Bayou Golf Club, while networking with others in the area. Local restaurants will provides tastings and many great prizes will be available for hole-in-ones and other contests.
Wine, Dine & Cruise on the SOLARIS
As the only dining & entertainment yacht in the area, the SOLARIS will kick off this year's Wine Festival with a Wine, Dine & Cruise event. Enjoy a 5-course meal with great wine pairings throughout the meal. Live entertainment will also be on stage with Tomato singing the blues. This event will happen on April 18th from 7pm to 10pm.
37th Saturday in the Park
Happening on April 20th from 8am to 4pm, the 37th Saturday in the Park will feature a 5k run/walk with a Kids Fun Ron, a Car Show, Parade and more. Folk artists will provides crafts demonstration and the day will feature plenty of food and live entertainment. The event is free and will help to support the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida.
