If you love dining and drinking poolside, The Marigny provides exactly what you're after. It’s located on East Hewett Road, just north of US 98 and provides plenty of great features. Whether it's good food, sports or fun you're looking for, you will find it here.

This is one of the places found off the beaten path. It's not as mainstream as some of the other places, but it's known as a local treasure. The restaurant serves up New Orleans-style Cajun and creole food with plenty of great choices.

You can dine poolside at the large outdoor bar and enjoy live music or a game on one of the massive TVs. However, if you prefer to dine inside, they provide a beautiful interior dining room with a rustic feel. Chef Chris Mongogna Jr., provides plenty of great dishes, all made from scratch. Some of the dishes you will find on their menu include:

  • Charbroiled Oysters
  • Oysters on the Half Shell
  • Shrimp Remoulade
  • Crab Cakes
  • Duck & Wild Mushroom Gumbo
  • Boudin
  • Bayou Teche Seafood Gumbo
  • Natchitoches Meat Pies
  • Crawfish Bread
  • Blackened Redfish
  • Grillades & Grits
  • Crab Stuffed Catfish
  • Jambalaya
  • And Much More!

Along with all the great appetizers and big plates, many poor boys sandwiches are found on the menu, including:

  • Road Beef
  • Swine
  • Cochon De Lait
  • Peacemaker
  • Fried Catfish
  • Poutine
  • Fried Shrimp
  • And More!

Pair your meal with one of their many great beers or cocktails. Of course, if you just want to enjoy the game and a cocktail, they will be happy to take care of you. This is certainly a place for LSU, Tulane and the New Orleans Saints.

The Marigny is open from 11am to 9pm, seven days a week and the pool bar is open late with small plates served after 9pm.
