The Fort Walton Beach Golf Club is city owned and provides a great round of golf at an affordable price. Many say this is one of the finest city-owned facilities you'll find in the northern part of Florida. It's not like other city courses, which don't live up to the beauty of what many Florida golf courses offers. This one provides two 18-hole courses with great scenery, challenges and something for all golfers.
The Pine Course measures 6,800 yards from the back tees and plays through an upland pine forest, while the Oaks Course is shorter at only 6,400 yards and features oak-lined fairways with plenty of water hazards. This is a full service facility with a beautiful clubhouse, locker rooms and so much more. The club plays host to many charity tournaments and private events every year.
With the Edwin Watts Golf Shop on site and the Two Trees Restaurant, golfers get everything they need. Enjoy a great round of golf, get all the supplies you need in the pro shop and enjoy both food and beverage service on and off the course. This year-round facility gives you everything you need to enjoy golf in a natural setting full of wildlife and more.
The Oaks Course
The Oaks course is the shorter of the two with a par 72 layout. Even though it's shorter, it's not exactly easier. The fairways are narrow and the old oak trees provide plenty of challenge. This course has water on 11 of the 18 holes as well.
The Pines Course
A challenging layout with over 6,800 years of play, this course weaves its way through a pine forest. It may seem flat, but after you get past the first hole, it becomes one of the most beautiful public facilities in the area.
