Getting to and from the city you're considering relocating to is an important part of the decision making process so how easy a Destination is this southern city to get to or from for that matter? As you'd expect from a southern city like Destin the infrastructure in the city is very good and with the busy tourist trade, which comes to the city each year modern and efficient transport, is literally the lifeblood of the city itself.

First off there are 3 different airports either within Destin itself or a very short drive away. First you have Northwest Florida Regional Airport, which provides air transport throughout the entire Gulf Coast area. Next up there's Pensacola Airport which offers flights to and from Destin to major US cities, with numerous flights each day, so you can grab your national connections from here. Last on the list we have Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, which also serves air travelers in the area.

If you're more of a road trip type person, or you're just terrified of flying, you can obviously get to Destin by road too if you wish, although you will need to factor in that it can be a journey of almost 1,000 miles if you're coming from Indianapolis or Cincinnati for example. That being said if you're taking a 2-week vacation a road trip can be a great way to both start and end that vacation.

The simple fact that Destin is so popular with tourists of all kinds means that getting to and from the city has been made as easy and as affordable as possible. Obviously if you're living and working in Destin getting to and from the city isn't going to be a major concern for you but it's still a relief to know that if and when you need to travel an airport is never more than 60 miles away from your home.
