Bruno's Pizza opened in 1990 in the Seagrove Plaza, but is set to move down the road. This is the oldest pizza parlor in this area and will soon be moving their location.
The reason for the move is simple, they need more space. Owner Jeff Goodman stated that when he first moved into the location in 1990, the season for selling pizza would last from about Memorial Day to Labor Day. After that, he stated many days would end up with no sales.
However, times have changed quite a bit and his business is far more consistent with an increase in overall sales of more than 30%. Due to this growth, Goodman needs more space. The 760-square foot space in the Seagrove Plaza just isn't big enough anymore.
Bruno's Pizza has closed for the Thanksgiving weekend at their original location and moved three miles to the east into the former location of Fen's Gourmet Market/Deli. This is found at WaterSound Beach and will provide over twice as much space.
The dining room, alone is much larger and the new location provides a deck for outside dining, as well. This new location is found south of 30A and just past Deer Lake.
This new area Bruno's is moving into used to be known as the Bermuda Triangle for businesses. Foot traffic won't be the same here compared to the Seagrove Plaza, but Goodman believes this is where the growth is going. WaterSound is the largest subdivision in the area and many other businesses are considering this area, as well.
Within the new Bruno's Pizza, guests can enjoy more space, a better dining experience and a completely open kitchen. Goodman is taking his entire staff with him and the pizza will remain the same.
Bruno's Pizza is expected to reopen within a week of the move and they will have a grand reopening event on December 16th. Once reopened, they will be open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm with extended hours in the summer.
