Dune Allen - The Home of Three Rare Lakes

Coastal Dune lakes are rare and provide a unique ecosystem only found in a few locations across the globe. South Walton has many of these lakes and Dune Allen is home to three of them including, Lake Allen, Oyster Lake and Stallworth Lake. These dune lakes provide beauty and balance for the wildlife. Many photographers flock to the area and the lakes are popular for bird watching, as well.

Found between Blue Mountain beach and Santa Rosa, Dune Allen is the western-most of the 30a beaches. It's home to some of the best restaurants in the area and provides plenty of public beach access. This is the perfect place for serenity and a great place to escape.

The cinder-block houses found on the top of sea dunes are popular throughout the area, along with stucco structures. Wooden beach homes are also found throughout the area and many quaint neighborhoods provide a great place for families with any type of budget. Whether you're searching for a beach home or one within walking distance, there's plenty to choose from in this area of South Walton.

Stinky's Fish Camp is a well-known restaurant providing plenty of great entrees in the area. This dining establishment is one of the best along 30A and provides a great atmosphere for the entire family.

The Dune Allen area draws in plenty of visitors and many families make this their home away from home. The weather is great, the beaches are amazing and the location provides access to many of the best coastal dune lakes in the area.

With Topsail Hill State Preserve just down the road, residents gain access to plenty of amazing natural areas. This is one of the best state parks in Florida and a popular choice for visitors and locals.
