The South Walton area is full of beer enthusiasts and they have all wanted to see a local brewery become a part of the area. This dream is getting closer every single day with the Grayton Beer Company looking to open very soon.
It took 11 months, but the company finally received nine large stainless steel tanks for fermentation as their location on Highway 98. Each of these tanks is 18 feet in size and will hold up to 22,000 pints of beer. This will allow the Grayton Beer Company to brew as much as 150,000 bottles of delicious beer at one time.
Other vessels have been delivered to help with the hot and the cold water storage needed for brewing craft beer. A grist case was also delivered, which will hold the grain and make brewing much easier.
Jamey Price, the President and Founder of Grayton Beer Company is very excited about the independent craft brewery becoming a reality in the South Walton area. Five new beers are expected to be introduced over the next few weeks including the 30A Beach Blonde Ale. You will be able to find this beer in many restaurants and bars all the way from Apalachicola to Pensacola.
The crew at the brewery is working 24/7 to get everything set up and ready for the first batch of beer. The first batch should be ready in time for the holiday season with many other's ready soon after.
Currently the Grayton Brewery provides two excellent beers, the Grayton Pale Ale and the Grayton I.P.A. These two beers provide an excellent choice for your beer-drinking pleasure. Along with the new five beers expected to be released before the end of the year, the brewery will continue to provide these two beers throughout the area.
If you love beer and have been looking forward to a brewery in the local area, you won't have to wait much longer. This might be the best Christmas present beer drinkers could ever receive.
