The reason for the move is simple, they need more space. Owner Jeff Goodman stated that when he first moved into the location in 1990, the season for selling pizza would last from about Memorial Day to Labor Day. After that, he stated many days would end up with no sales.

However, times have changed quite a bit and his business is far more consistent with an increase in overall sales of more than 30%. Due to this growth, Goodman needs more space. The 760-square foot space in the Seagrove Plaza just isn't big enough anymore.

Raising money for the Cottages for Kids Foundation has become a regular thing for Davis Dunn Construction and Studio A Architecture's Andrea J. Plunk. They have teamed up for their seventh fundraiser. The goal is always to provide an imaginative cottage and support a good cause. The creation for this year is called Live It Up, which is an enchanting cottage found in Rosemary Beach on the East Long Green.

Each of the facades found within the Live it Up theme has a sub-theme. The goal of each sub-theme is to encourage kids to do something, such as:

  • Serve it Up - A take-out window made to stimulate the culinary imagination of children.
  • Climb it Up - A climbing wall with a bell at the top.
  • Ham it Up - A stage with curtains for performances.

Frasier Hansen and Shawn Sherman met and became friends a few years ago. They share a dream of opening a craft brewery and at the time, this just seemed like a dream. However, the time has passed, financing has been found and hard work has been put in to create the Idyll Hounds Brewing Company. These proud owners are about to start working on their first batch of ale in their new facility found off Highway 98 between Rosemary Beach and Point Washington.

The location in the South Walton Commerce Park is about 7,500 square feet and is nearly complete. It will contain all the necessary brewing equipment and they will start on their first two batches of beer, Divide & Conch'r double IPA and Man o'Wheat, immediately.
