5 Tips for a Destin Beach Party
There’s nothing like a party on the beach. Even better, there’s nothing like a party on the beach in Destin, Florida. Destin has one of the most beautiful stretches of beachfront in the world. And if you are lucky enough to have access to a condo or house down here, then there is no better place to invite your friends for a party during the holidays – or anytime for that matter.
Although a Destin, FL beach house party is almost a sure winner for your guests, there are some things you should be aware of to make the party go more smoothly. Here are 5 tips that will make your party a success:
"What are my favorite things about the Destin? From the excellent schools to the gorgeous beaches, this really is a spectacular place to call home. There are activities to suit all tastes, from sailing to surfing, to great dining options. But most of all, my favorite thing about the Destin area is the tremendous sense of community you will find here"
1. Limit the guest list to what you can handle
‘The more the merrier’ is a great attitude to have when you are at someone else’s party, but when planning your own Destin, FL beach house party, you need to make sure you can accommodate everyone and ensure a good time without losing control.
2. Set a dress code
Sure, you want your guests to relax and have a good time, but you also want to make sure there are no surprises. It is always a good idea to set some sort of dress code for your Destin beach party – if only to make sure everyone is fully clothed.
3. Bonfires are always a hit
If you have the permission from the proper local authorities, plan to have a bonfire. People love bonfires along the beach – especially during the winter, when the temps in Destin FL can drop a little lower at night. There is nothing like enjoying a blazing bonfire on a cool night with a few hundred of your closest friends.
4. Limit the alcohol
There’s certainly nothing wrong with enjoying some adult beverages at your Destin FL beach house party. But as with the guest list, you definitely want to put limitations on it so things don’t get out of control. There are a couple ways to do this:
- Have the guests bring their own so they are paying for it instead of you.
- Hire a bartender and give guests free non-alcoholic beverages, but make them pay for drinks with alcohol.
5. Make sure the bathrooms are prepared
This is an important point that often gets brushed aside – make sure you have adequate toilet paper for your bathrooms. In addition, it may be a good idea to separate the bathrooms by gender and hire attendants at each to monitor. This will ensure that guests have easy access to restrooms, and again that things do not get out of control.
